Oath	To swear that a statement is true. In view of Matthew 5:33-37 swearing by any object is forbidden in the Christian religion. An object would include a Bible (court testimony) or a flag (as in a pledge to one). It renders debates such as the Christian view of the wording of the pledge to the flag bizzare.
