Term Definition
NaturalismThe philosophy that the events in the world follow impersonal laws that can be deduced by careful observation and experimentation. Despite spectacular success from applying this philosophy, it is believed by some theists to be inferior to the competing philosophy of "supernaturalism".

NeroVery popular "bad guy" figure among Christians. A very popular, almost populist, Roman emperor accused of burning Rome (the fact that he wasn't there to do it and that, after the incident, he gave his palaces to the homeless is irrelevant). Driven to death by the Roman elite, because he was considered dangerous to the aristocrats' economical and political interests.

Non-ChristianSomeone who is by definition wrong, misled, or mistaken. (see Fool)

Non-denominationalSeemingly benign and unthreatening term fundie churches use to make it seem like they won't push dogma on you, i.e., "We're Non-denominational. It's like...we're not even a religion or anything!"

Non-Theist
  1. A person who appears to theists to be less evil than an atheist yet more than an agnostic.
  2. Name applied to nonbelievers by theists purporting to advocate tolerance.
  3. Atheist-lite.
  4. Heretic.
