| Liahona | A defective compass found by a bunch of wandering Hebrews. Because it pointed East rather than North, the wandering Hebrews wound up in the New World. (see Book of Mormon) |

| Lieberal | A word used by someone who thinks he's clever. |

| Light | - A common hallucination experienced by a brain that is starving for oxygen. Commonly reported by survivors of "Near Death Experiences", it is interpreted as a sure sign that there is an afterlife, and it's very well lit.
- Theists claim to see this all the time; atheists prefer to wear shades so they can see where they're going and aren't blinded by the sun.
- What theist see rather than the truth. It`s impossible to see anything else with a bright light shining in your face.

| Lord of the Rings | Fantasy epic which, despite having way more sorcery and evil creatures than the Harry Potter series, is not perceived by Christian fanatics as a threat to anyone's salvation. This is possibly due to the fact that the author, J.R.R. Tolkien, was known to be a Christian apologist. |
